This wine is the first to be released under our new “Summit” label, designating it as exceptional and rare.
It was rated 93 points (on the cusp of gold medal status) by The National Cool Climate Wine Show chief judge and Victorian Wine Show Director Robert Paul. That puts it in the top 5% of wines, which is very difficult to achieve.
It was made from a small parcel of fruit (made up into only sixty cases) from an iconic vineyard in Wandin East which produces Chardonnay and Cabernet of the highest quality. It has classic Cabernet aromas of cassis, earth and spice, with a delightfully balanced, complex and soft flavour. This is a wine that is exuberant, rich and restrained, without the invasive tannins often found in this variety. It will allow early drinking but promises to develop into a wine to be treasured for many years.
Screwcap closure. 750ml bottle.
