"Gold medal standard". Robert Paul, The National Cool Climate Wine Show chief judge and Victorian Wine Show Director, scored this wine as 95 points out of 100.
Like our 2019 Upper Yarra Valley Chardonnay, the fruit for this wine also came from Macclesfield, just south of the town of Seville.
The 2019 vintage was of high quality. After a wet and cold December, rain in the Valley virtually stopped, and the months of January, February and March were hot and dry, with perfect maturing conditions.
This Pinot has lifted, classic Burgundian aromas of cherry, raspberry and violets, with a complex flavor mix of berries, spice, truffles and flowers. It has a deep and translucent appearance, fine soft tannins and length, balance and complexity.
Screwcap closure. 750ml bottle.
