Following on from the gold medal 2019 vintage, this wine has the distinct "Upper Yarra" character of beautiful fruit and acidity balance. The oak used was mainly second and third-fill barrels to allow the fruit to be the overriding main character in this excellent wine.
In keeping with the central theme of all Wild Fire Wines being very food friendly, the 2020 Chardonnay had the secondary fermentation process stopped a little early, thereby producing a "leaner" style Chardonnay. A wine of excellent balance finishes long and will reward further cellaring.
