This is another example of great fortified wine from Rutherglen. This port was made in the same way as the Topaque and Muscat, but from different grapes. The “Ruby” style means the port is aged in smaller barrels and has fewer vintages in each barrel. The wine is deliberately made to keep the style “fresh” on the palate.
The wine is concentrated, very complex but clean on the palate. A lovely long finish to the wine will complement any dinner.
Great with cheese, coffee, great music and excellent friends. This wine was made in collaboration with the same winery from Rutherglen that produced the Topaque.
